My Experience with a Chi Swing and Why You Need One

I’m Marika Murray, a certified Health and Wellness Coach, Energy Healer and CIRS warrior. I lived undiagnosed with symptoms over 30 years before learning about CIRS and I hope my story will inspire you. This illness impacts everyone differently, use my posts as a guide and trust your intuition. I have a PhD in me, and so do you.

A few years ago, I decided to give something a try that I’d heard about but never truly understood: the Chi Swing. I’d read that it was a simple yet powerful tool for moving energy through the body, promoting relaxation, and even helping with physical healing. As someone who’s always been interested in alternative healing methods, I was curious to see if it would make a difference in how I felt, especially given my ongoing struggles with CIRS (Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome).

So, I ordered the Chi Swing machine, not really knowing what to expect. All I knew was that people had talked about this gentle, swinging motion that allowed energy to flow through the body, and I thought, “Why not give it a try?”

When the machine arrived, I was both excited and slightly skeptical. The Chi Swing doesn’t look complicated. It’s basically a little stand that you rest your ankles in while you lie on your back. It gently swings back and forth, moving your body in a way that encourages circulation, balances energy, and promotes relaxation. You can adjust the intensity, but I started with the mild setting, as I wasn’t sure how my body would respond.

I positioned myself comfortably, adjusted the settings, and let the swing begin. At first, it felt strange—like I was still, but with the added sensation of my body moving in a gentle wave. The motion was slow and soothing, and I could feel the tension in my body start to ease away as the swing gently rocked me back and forth effortlessly.

I didn’t know it at the time, but this simple motion was helping to create balance within my body’s energy flow—a concept I’d been reading about but never fully experienced until that moment.

My first session ended and I immediately felt this warm-happy-calm sensation wash over me. I rested there and enjoyed the peaceful feeling I so rarely experience. Over the next few days, I found that the effects of the Chi Swing didn’t just vanish after one session. The calmness and clarity I experienced lingered, and I could feel the healing effects as my body continued to adjust. I started to notice that my joints weren’t as stiff, and I had more flexibility in my movements. It was as though the swing had helped realign something deep inside me—physically, emotionally, and energetically.

I also began to realize how much stress had been built up in my body, especially with all the health challenges I had been facing. The Chi Swing wasn’t just a physical tool; it was an emotional one too. It helped me release tension, not just in my muscles, but in my mind and spirit. It allowed me to finally let go of some of the weight I’d been carrying.

Now, I use the Chi Swing regularly. Especially on days when I’m too tired to take a walk. I’ve learned that it’s not about pushing myself to “feel something” or expecting a dramatic transformation every time. It’s about allowing my body to move in a way that promotes balance, energy flow, and healing. And every time I finish a 15 minute session, I’m left with that same wonderful sensation: light, calm, and connected.

For anyone dealing with health challenges or just seeking a deeper connection to themselves, I can’t recommend the Chi Swing enough. It’s a simple practice, but it offers profound benefits for the body, mind, and spirit. After each session, I feel like I’m coming back to myself in a way that supports my overall healing and well-being.

And the best part? It’s not a quick fix. It’s a practice that builds over time, helping me feel more balanced, energized, and aligned with my true self. Moreover, It’s amazing how something so simple can have such a powerful effect.

If you’re looking for a way to unwind, release tension, and restore balance—without needing to add more intensity to your already overwhelming day—I wholeheartedly encourage you to give the Chi Swing a try. The peaceful, wonderful sensation it leaves behind might just surprise you.
